The Food Standards Agency is a basic list maintainer. The Inspection and
approval of premises is carried out by the Environmental Health Departments
of County Councils, Borough Councils, and Local District Councils. With the
exception of FSA Scottish office, all that the Food Standards Agency knows
about the Approved Processors in their jurisdiction is the name of the
company, their approval number and which local health authority is
responsible for inspection of each company.
